That would be William bc1885 Sneinton, son of John bc1858 Nottingham, who was the son of John bc1829 Nottingham and Elizabeth.
Sorry, they appear to be very distant relatives of 'my' Selston Skevington's. I have none in Nottingham (the town, that is)

hello Dave

I am a newcomer to family history and share Skevington, Leivers and Martin in my family, all from the Selston area.
My family names are Dawes and Dovey which married in to the above families.
Any help would be appreciated.
Ann

Ann;

All those names are of great interest to me. You also didn't mention Surgey which I'm working on now. They seem to come from Arnold, where there was and still is a Surgeys Lane.

Ancestry says that you don't want to be contacted. If you find my public tree (search for Skevington; mine is called 'Folks from Selston ...') you can contact me from there (ftmfamily481). I'd prefer to converse by regular email, so give me your email address.

Rgds, Dave.
