I'm quite new to this and I have already hit some stumbling block with family that is quite close to me and need some direction if possible.....
1) I am trying to trace some details over my great grandfather who name was Steven Harry
Fisher, I believe he was born in wellingborough. I have been told that he was born out of wedlock and was sent to childrens home, but I do not know how to start tracing him. He married a lady called Florence May
Thompson born 1905 and that had a daughter in 1931 called Barbara Jean May
Fisher.
2) This concerns Barbara Fishers first daughter. Barbara married Donald
Bowers (my grandfather) and their first daughter born 1951 was called Susan
Bowers. I have found her birth records but no other indication of her. Family rumour is this child was still born but I have found no evidence of that. Any idea where else I can look, I have been unable to locate a death certificate and I have spoken with the records office of the graveyard she is 'apparently' buried at and they have no record. All suggestions welcome.
