Surnames: BOULTER/SMITH/LITTLE
I am looking for information on William BOULTER bn c1800 and his wife Elizabeth. They had the following children born in Burford:

Mary Ann b1832 - unknown
Emma b1836 - d1843
Anne b1837 - d1838
William b1841 - d1842
William b1843 - unknown
Thomas b1845 - unknown
Phillip b1847 - d1889 married Ann Smith
George Stephen b1849 - unknown


Phillip BOULTER 1847 and Ann Smith (b 1846 Windrush, Gloucestershire) had the flollowing children:

William b1874 - 1870 married Annie Little
Mary Ann b1870 - unknown
Edith b1876 - unknown
George b1879 - 1889 married Elizabeth Little


William and Annie LITTLE (b1877 Darleston, Staffordshire) married in 1895 in Warrickshire and had the following children, with the exception of William Joseph all born in Bilston, Staffordshire:

William Joseph b1896 Birmingham
Harold Thomas
Violet Elizabeth
Phillip Henry
Bernard
Leonard
Sylvia

If anyone can fill in gaps or go further back and give me some information on William BOULTER bn c1800 and his wife Elizabeth, I would be very pleased to hear from them.

William baptised 11 April 1811
Mary baptised 11 April 1811
James baptised 5 December 1813 (Jas. Surname: BOWLTAR)
Henry baptised 31 March 1816 (Hy.). Mar: An DOSSETT 8/08/1841
Hannah baptised 16 July 1820 (Surname: BOULTIN). Bur: 11/09/1820
Ann baptised 11 November 1821. Bur: 15/11/1821


William BOULTER (m) Elizabeth TOOLEY in Burford by banns 19 December 1832. Wit: William DRUIT, Mary BOULTER and James BRADBURY

Bartholomew TOOLEY [wid](m) Mary ADAMS btp by Licence 18 May 1793. Wit: Jn STEVENS and Jos STAFFORD.

Mary TOOLEY buried 8 May 1807 in Burford.

Also buried:
Bartholomew son of Bartholomew 30 March 1805
Dinah TOOLEY buried 17 June 1805.

Bartholomew TOOLEY [wid] (m) Hannah BENNET [wid] by banns 21 July 1808 in Burford. Wit: Eliz WINGFIELD and Chas LEGG
(Note: TOOLEY is written as TOBY. Could also be wrong couple)

Bartholomew TOOLEY buried 10 March 1843. Aged 70yrs. (I’m assuming this may be Bartholomew above and not another)

Children:

Dinah baptised 26 March 1809
Elizabeth baptised 5 May 1811
John baptised 5 December 1813
Thomas baptised 17 March 1816 (Surname: TORLEY). Mar: Letitia COOK 24/4/1847


*There's a Bartholomew baptising children in the 1770s. It may be the Bartholomew above's father. though I couldn't find a baptism in Burford for him.


The Parish registers definitely need looking into deeper if not only to catch all the variations of spellings alone. Also,some entries may of been missed because they are poor to look at. This was only a brief search I hope it can help,

Hi Lyn

Thanks very much for your help. It becomes very frustrating when you can see a connection between names, but don't have the actual evidence to tie up the loose ends.
