WW1 soldiers from Rutland
i recently via all the coverage for the end of WW1 came across a book published by Rutland in about 1920 which gave information about the people involved in various ways with the war. There's info on each village listing soldiers who fought and died, (found Great uncle -ernest alphonso liquorish listed and hadn't known he'd been involved at all) with a write up(presumably supplied by the family) and a photo. there's also a listing of the village members who fought and returned. (no further info on them tho). Later in the book is info on special constables, reserves, womens roles and heaps more if anyone wants me to check anything i spent part of the xmas hols scanning the whole book in before returning the original to Granny. Currently there are copies of the book on sale on amazon for a mere £200...
