Agnes, the daughter of John Crow (1825-1902) and Martha (1827-1895), was born 1861 in Eaton Scoon, Bedfordshire. Her family was living at Market Drayton, Shropshire by 1869. In 1881 19 year old Agnes was a farm servant for Thomas and Harriet Sheffeld at Market Drayton. On 30 Apr 1882 she had a son, born out of wedlock, Frederick William Crow(e). Fred was brought up by his grandparents. Agnes disappears after the 1881 census. I can find no death, marriage or immigration record for her. If anyone has any information on Agnes, I'd love to know what became of her. The father of her son Fred is also a mystery, although there was an 18 year old servent, Thomas Davies, on the Sheffeld's farm. Perhaps nature took its course.
