Surnames: John and Charlotte Stiff
I am trying to uncover more information on John Stiff b circa 1796 and Charlott Stiff born circa 1801, particularly who Charlotte's parents were.
They appear on the 1841 census, see Source Citation: Class: HO107; Piece 1034; Book: 17; Civil Parish: Raydon; County: Suffolk; Enumeration District: 6; Folio: 6; Page: 6; Line: 20; GSU roll: 474642.
Any information will be much appreciated.

Thanks for that information.
I do believe that you are correct.
This is going to be a tall order but it would be excellent if I could find out some more about the parents of Charlotte and John. I have reason to believe that they were Thomas Mayhew and Elizabeth Fenning.
There were quite a few Fenning and Mayhew families around Raydon, Monks Eleigh, Hadleigh and Polstead, so sorting out where Elizabeth and Thomas came from is not going to be easy.

Thanks once again for that info.
I looked to see if there were any marriage details anywhere for John and Elizabeth and could not find them, possibly meaning that perhaps they did not marry.
I wonder whether it is worth trying to get hold of the Parish records for those two areas and dates?
I suppose that Ipswich should hold them?
It might just shed some light on their parentage.

I am confused John and Elizabeth??

Ipswich and Bury St. Edmunds have parish records on fiche or film. I believe you can purchase fiche, check their websites for prices.
Alternately if there is an LDS centre near you, you could order in the films and fiche for a small charge and view them there.

Purely a typo which you can put down to old age and poverty.
I meant to say Thomas Mayhew and Elizabeth Fenning
