Having had another look at the 1841 census page, I think in fact it says George Purnell not Leorys. The writing is not very good. George would make more sense being the name of Mary Wait`s (nee Purnell) father.

Surnames: FLOWER, CHIVERS
My great grandmother was Lily Flower born 1875 in Clutton. I believe she was the daughter of Frederick Flower and Eliza Chivers. Do you have any information on Frederick Flower please?

Surnames: Gray, Jones
Hi Kevin,

I suspect that you may be investigating parts of the same tree as me, my great-grandfather was Ivor George Gray, his sister married Clifford Jones.

Would my suspicions be correct? :-)

Not that I know of. The only Gray I have is Martha born in 1764 who married Joseph DURY.

Unless you know something I don't ;-)

Well, my suspicion wasn't correct then!

Just a coincidence of names then, they are relatively common names in the area so that's probably it.
