I am looking for any information about ANTHONY SLOCOMBE, born 11-11-1590 in Taunton, Somersetshire, England. He married AGNES HARVEY, dtr. of THOMAS and AGNES CLARK HARVEY.

Anthony may have had a brother named PHILLIP SLOCOMBE. Phillip's son, GILES SLOCOMBE, also came to America a few years after his uncle Anthony.

It is said that Anthony, Agnes, sons GILES SLOCOMBE and EDWARD SLOCOMBE, a dtr. who was married to JOSEPH GILBERT, and two brothers-in-law (WILLIAM HARVEY who was married to MARTHA SLOCOMBE and THOMAS HARVEY)came to America aboard the Mary and John in 1636. Anthony was first recorded in America in Taunton, MA in 1637.

This is a very old post, but I will answer since I am in the middle of researching the Harvey family and found info which may be helpful. Look up "The Harvey Book" by Oscar Jewell Harvey published 1899. In Part 2 which is digitized and available to view online is information about the daughter Harvey who married Anthony Slocum. Apparently, her name was not known to the author at the time. Please note that the author questions the research of another concerning the wife of William. There was a William of Taunton (brother of Agnes Harvey Slocum) and another William Harvey of Boston. The brother married Joane Hucker and they did live in Boston for a period of time. The other William Harvey was married during the same period to Martha Copp. (This information is documented at the end of the page. See clarification on Thomas and his marriage, too.)
Can you provide a reference to the name of the daughter being Agnes Clark Harvey? It sounds logical, but I have not found her name as of yet.
