In my research for the Penny family in Bruton, I discovered that a George Prince Amor and his wife Eliza, were witnesses at the marriage of my great great grandparents, William Penny born 1800 in North Cadbury and Jane Amor born 1800 in Bruton. The name Amor was the middle name of my great grandfather John Amor Penny, and it seemed a common thing to do, to use a maiden name as part of a son's name. I've been looking for a 'Prince' family, since seeing the name of George 'Prince' Amor, thinking that Jane Amor's mother may have been a 'Prince'.
