Crocker/Damon of Yeovil... Mary Damon appears to be the eldest sister of my ggggrandfather Timothy Deamon, named after his father. This family with several surname spellings lived in Barwick a hamlet a couple of kms. south of Yeovil cc 1750-1800. They then moved to Yeovil. Mary's baptism 1766 entry can be found @ FreeReg Search for Barwick. The children's parents were shown variously as Timothy and Elizabeth (Betty) Damon,Deman,Deamon and Dinan. I only know the history of my ggggfather, born in 1775. Served in the Royal Artillery 1794-1814 and died in Yeovil in 1859. I hope this helps you rocket and thanks for details about my ggggaunt!
