Hi, I saw your message and I dont know whether there is a connection to my ancestors,but I know they also lived around Pevensey in Sussex. My great great great grandfather was William Manser and also his father. William Milton - b.- Feb. 1762 & Elizabeth (Manser) - Married 21 Apr. 1787 in Westham, Sussex. There are two Elizabeth Mansers listed in the family of Edward Manser & Susanna. One was Christened 2 Jan. 1747 & the second one was Christened 19 Dec. 1779. The first one could have died & they named a second daughter, 32 years later, the same name. Seems strange to me that they would do that. I have a list of children born to Edw. & Susanna Manser from the Sussex Church records. Susannah - bap. - 1 Sept. 1738 - William - bap. - 7 Aug. 1740 - Thomas bap. ? - died 4 Jan. 1742 - Ann - born ? - died 29 May, 1744 - Mary - bap.- 28 Jul.1745 - Elizabeth - bap. - 2 Jan. 1747 - Thomas - bap.- 26 Dec. 1752 - Edward - born 4 Feb. 1755 & bap. 30 Mar. 1755 - Anne born 16 Nov. 1778 & bap. - 5 Mar. 1778 (another Elizabeth born 3 Dec. 1779 & bap. 19 Dec. 1779 - Hannah born Jun. 18, 1782. Don't know if you want this info or not but I have the children of William Manser & Elizabeth ? Let me know if you would like their names. The births are from Aug. 10, 1765 through Feb. 1775. I have children listed for Thomas & Sarah Manser also.
I also have the marriage of William & Sarah Vitler. Nov. 15, 1762. Wm was born 1740, Sarah died 1763. Wm. married Elizabeth Dennis July 25, 1765.
Now, if Elizabeth Manser, who married Wm. Milton is related to you, then we are shirttail cousins. Let me hear back from you. I hope we are related. LOU

Hi Lou, thanks for your quick reply, I have a Elizabeth Manser born 25 April 1762,to William Manser and Sarah Friend. I dont know if this is the Elizabeth your after her brothers and sisters were:-Sarah born 9 August,1761,Susanna b 7 May 1762,John b 27 March 1763, William b 2December 1764,James b 21 Feburary 1769, Michael b 14 Feburary 1772 and Mary b 12 July 1774, The William who is mentioned as her brother is the William that we have married to Sarah Vitler, there is something wrong here as this family descendents still live on William and Sarah Vitlers Property in Australia where they migrated to, and Sarah Vitler died in Australia in Mt Crawford on 2 October 1860, So someone has made a mistake with the Sarah's. The family originated in Hurstmonceux in Sussex, but moved around a lot before they migrated, to Westham,Pevensey But I would love all you have on these Mansers as I havent been able to go back further than William and Sarah Friend who we have as marrying on the 17 November 1760. Thank for your reply,It would be fantastic if you can clear up a lot of confusion in our tree, I have since found out that William who migrated to Australia married a Sarah Crowhurst not Vitler,as this is a earlier William Manser,not sure now about the connection. I also would be happy to swap any info with you.
