Looking for info on William B. Skinner b.1845 and Maria Skelding b. 1847. (married 1867) They had the following children: Eliza, Alice, Thomas, Alfred, Elizabeth and Frances.

William B. was a glass cutter and the family lived in Stourbridge. This family later came to settle in New Bedford, MA and then Southern New Jersey.

Any info on the Skeldings of this area, Skinners, or anything on the cut glass factories in this area would be appreciated.

Dear Marge

I have seen your message about Maria Skelding in Staffordshire and have found a Maria in my line - although she was baptised at Oldswinford in 1845. Her parents were William and Catherine Skelding who were my 2x Gt grandparents through Benjamin who was Maria's brother. Does this have any connection with your researches? Stourbridge and the Lye (Oldswinford parish) were in Worcestershire.

Surnames: Skelding,
My three times great grandmother was Ann Skelding born to William and Catherine in 1833. Although I see this is a different line to yours I was interested whether Thomas Skelding is the brother of my William. He had a brother called Thomas christened in 1811 in Old Swinford. Their parents were George and Elizabeth. I have quite a lot of information on Skeldings in this area which I would be very happy to share and I would be very interested in any information you may be able to give me.
