Hello Darlene

I am related to Joseph Flavell, born abt 1789. He married Phoebe Mason in Dudley, STS, on 5 Feb 1809. I am wondering if these people could also be your ancestors? My line comes down through their daughter Martha who married William Hodgetts. Did you find who your William Flavell's parents were?

Regards

I have the marriage certificate for William

He married Sarah Smith on June 2, 1884, Norton Canes, Stafford. According to the certificate his father was Thomas. The witnesses are Thomas Flavelle and Jane Flavelle
(so I assume that Jane might be William's mother, however it might be a sister.

Don't think there is any connection.

Hi~
Have just been passed information on my father's paternal side of the family.
My dad was born to Cyril Flavelle [and Edna Johnson] whilst he was living in Birmingham/England with his wife Beatrice[Bradford] and daughter Florence. They all eventually returned to Canada with Cyril passing away in 1979 in the USA.Cyril was the son of William Flavelle and Sarah Smith. As you said in you message I have also been unable to find them after 1901. If you have managed to find any additional information in the pastfew years I would love to hear it.

Hi Again:

I have a Public Tree here on ancestry
"Flavell(e) & Brandfords of England"
Have a look at this too .... I have been able to trace things back a fair bit since the days of this posting.
