James COLLIER b.C1772 Staffordshire

I am researching the Collier family of Wood Green & Edmonton in London and have discovered that they descend from a James Collier who states on the 1851 Census that he was born in Baldon, Staffs. He is living in Mickleover, Derbyshire on both the 1841 & 1851 Census - on the 1841 he states NOT born in ths county.
Would be very grateful if anyone could help me out as to where Baldon might be so that I can try to find his parents.
