Looking for any info regarding Carder family from areas in Staffordshire - Brierley Hill, Chesterfield etc. They where mainly worked in the pottery industry. My ancestor came from there to New Zealand where he started a pottery business.

Hi, thanks for your help. Our Joshua Carder was born in England 1816 (father: Walter?). He arrived Auckland, N.Z. 1863 and was already married to Hannah Shaw. They already had two sons in England who came with them: George b 1842 and Walter b Walter. They had two daughters: Annie b 1855 and Clara.
