Hi,

I have just started researching my fathers side of my family and already I am drawing a blank. I don't know anything about the family other than my grandfather is James Frederick Whiting (born 1923) and he married Annie Pearce. That is it. I have been struggling to find any records for their marriage deaths, or his military records.

Any suggestions?

According to FreeBMD, James F was born in 1923 and his mother's maiden name was Peers. There is a marriage for a James F Whiting and an Emily Peers in 1913 in Stoke on Trent so these may be his parents. I believe James and Annie were married in 1944 in Greater London. (Volume number 6b page 402)

The registration district 6b is for Staffordshire not Greater London so the record I read had a mistake. The marriage may have been in Stoke on Trent. Sorry for the confusion.
