My grandfather was Jeremiah Beardmore born 1899 died 1966. He was a miner and married Elsie Ratcliffe (b Oct 27 1900, d 1972) in the early 1920s. Elsie worked in the pottery industry. They lived in Longton, Stoke on Trent and had two sons Kenneth (b 1922 d 1963) and Alan, my father, who was born in 1928 and died 1982. My father was William Walker, his father John and his mother Sarah Woods. William was born about 1883.Stoke-on-Trent. He married Lavinia Ball 1920. Is this any help??

Hi, I am also researching the Walker family from Hanley, I have a Joseph Walker b,1838 ish, in Hanley, he was a Potter when he married on 7/12/1856, to Mary Jane Robson, in Stockton-On-Tees, his father was William Walker, no DOB.B., but about 1818, he was a Tailor by trade, I have info on Joseph's wife and children.Have you anything that will tie in with this info.

Noted you wqere looking for the name TOFT in the Tunstall/Burlem area of Staffordshire. My Greatgrand Father Thomas TOFT was christened on the 11 Jan 1855 in Aston/ Trussell (no Church known) his Father John marriad a Sarah EMERY on the 6 Jan 1855 at Christ Church Stafford.

In my earler letter, I pressed the wrong button and it was posted.before before I had completed the letter. Just to conclude. Thomas married in Yorkshire, Then at some stage this part of the family ended up In Salford Lancashire, Liverpool, and some in Auatralia.
