My GG Grandfather GEORGE LIMER was born 1826 in Uttoxeter Staffordshire to parents James LIMER and Ellen Kent.
George married MARY ANN COWLISHAW in London 1851. At the time of their marriage George stated his father James as being deceased. In the 1851 Directory for Staffordshire a John LIMER of Carter street Uttoxeter is listed as a joiner , cabinet maker , upholster . A James LIMER of Parks was listed as Farmer and grazier. I beleive these to be brothers of George. Mary Ann COWLISHAW was born 1831 at Uttoxeter to parents John COWLISHAW and Elizabeth SMITH, who married in 1829. John was a shoemaker. Elizabeth died aged 33 years in 1837. Can anybody throw any light on this family please! I am most interested in when and where James LIMER and his wife Ellen nee Kent died. Any clues as to how I might find out.
