No becuase my sisters have a different father and they had mother's maiden name albiet spelt clightly differently. My sisters were born 25th April 1941 and were triplets Helena, Despana and Ernee. Their father was named on their birth certificates and he was Greek. They did pay him a surprise visit but of course he wasn't interested. Now there's a surprise !! We beleive my father was dutch as she named me Juliana and her name appears to now begin with Wilhelmina Millicent. I call myself Julia but she named me Juliana hence the reason for ua all thinking my father was Dutch although not named on my birth certificate. Does any of this help ??

My great grandmothers younger sister was Minnie Welsh who was know as "Madam Amies" and I believe she ran a dance studio in Birmingham, England. Her second husband was Henry Albion Amies and in the 1911 Census his occupation is listed as a Dancing Teacher. I am assuming that they ran it together or she did after his passing. Would anyone have any information or memories of this studio? Was the studio known as "The Coffin"?

She was my mother but I cannot find her record either so am really baffled. If you can help would be great. Am really also looking for a brother of mine who was supposedly adopted whilst I was fostered. Located Triplet half sisters some years ago same mother but different father. Would love to find nephews and nieces etc or a brother !! If you can find anything would very much appreciate it. One other thought my sisters surname is spelt Trathen i think.
Many thanks Julia

Hallo there,

I am so sorry I have not replied to your last two missives, I don't know how I came to miss them but I did.

My Charles Storer married Emily Louisa Francis in 1895, he named his father as Thomas (Thomas was deceased at this time so no help there about occupation).

Charles Storer was a bricklayers labourer, he died in 1936. He must have been in the army at some stage because he was described as an army pensioner) I have been unable to find out any more about that side of his life (or any other really).

From your last email it would appear that we are not talking about the same Charles Storer.

Many thanks again for taking the trouble to find out things and once again please accept my apologies for being tardy in replying. Its so unusual that I missed the reply, because Charles Storer is the stumbling block in my family tree and I am constantly looking out for any information.

Cheers

Jean

Hi Can someone please help?
I'm trying to find a marriage record for a Mary White and thought that at ancestry you also got to see the spouse's name too (Thomas William Smith). As they have really common names I'm finding lots of each of them individually but putting them together is difficult. Its made more difficult in that I only have a rough date - about 1880 and I think its a Catholic wedding!!

Many thanks
