LOOKING FOR ANY MOORES IN WILTSHIRE

I have a Henry Burges of West Ashton, Wiltshire who married an Anne More (02/02/1583). Not quite a Moore but who knows. Anne was burried in Steeple Ashton 18/09/1637.

I have some records of Moores in Wiltshire. My paternal great great Grandfather was married in Chippenham, Wiltshire. I have his family's names but not many dates. If you think I can be of help please e-mail me.

Hi Sharon. My Moore's are in Broad Blunsden & surrounding villiages. So far I have Richard Moor m 1703 Elizabeth Gleed, George Moore m 1733 Mary Green, George Moore m 1759 Jane Hitchman & Jane Moore m 1783 William Edwards. Please let me know if these families are of any interest you. In addition I am transcribing parish records for these names only so I do have other Moore that aren't my direct line. regards gina

I have Moore's in MERE, Wilts and wonder if you might be able to help?

John MOORE was chr on 28 July 1782 stating his parents names as Isaac & Sarah. Are there any more details? Date of birth? Occupation of father? place of residence?

This Sarah was prob Sarah DOWN, widow of Michael, when she married Isaac in 1777 in Mere.
Isaac was born about 1753, in Mere, I believe. Can you find any bap for him? A fellow family tree addict reckons his father might be a William??

Do you have info about Mere?

Interesting that you have the name of Moore in Chippenham, wiltshire. Some family information has just come to me about my Harry Burt who married Sarah Moore 23 October 1800. Harry Burt had two children in his previous marriage with Johannah Matthews, they were Elizabeth Burt born 10 August 1787 and Albin Burt born 24 Februsary 1793 both born in Chippenham Wiltshire, England. do any of these names appear on your family tree?
