Hello Shane.
I am also an Alexander descendant from Rebecca Alexander youngest daughter of John Alexander and Elizabeth Braxstone. John was the son of John Alexander and Sarah Ellis.
Rebecca married Benjamin Hobbs and I come from their grandaughter Mary Ann Hobbs who married Peter Withers in Ramsbury in 1828. They had twin daughters Ann and Sarah Withers in 1829. In 1830 Peter Withers was transported to Tasmania and Mary Ann raised the children ion her own.
I would love to have more information on the Alexanders who emigrated to New Zealand.I believe they went to Waimate North in Northland.
My parents emigrated to New Zealand in 1953 when I was 5 years old and until last year I was unaware we had relations in New Zealand, however distant.
We may have had contact. I am keen to add more of your line to my data base,
