Surnames: Duckett, Jubb, Addy, Ingham
I am looking for info concerning a Duckett family who resided at Langley Burrell, Wiltshire.
My own info is that a certain John Duckett (son of Loyonell/Lyonll/Lyonel/Lionel Duckett) ) was b. 1682 at Langley Burrell. This John married 20 Nov 1713 an Elizabeth Jubb, b. March 1698, at Weston, Nottinghamshire, and had issue, mostly born at Kirk Bramwith, Yorkshire: Ann (b. 1716), Samuel (b. 1720) and Thomas (b. 1727). Langley Burrell, Wiltshire is only about 3 miles from Corsham one of the main Wiltshire homes (Harsham House) of the Duckett family of notability who hailed from Westmoreland and Lincolnshire. Could Langley Burrell Duckett’s be a branch of this will known family? Ann Duckett, their daughter, married a Joseph Addy and their daughter Rebecca married William Ingham of Faldingworth and hence became ancestors of my grandmother. John Duckett may have had a brother called William, b. abt. 1681, Wiltshire.
Has anyone with an interest in the Duckett family or otherwise, discovered this possible connection or is it an entirely different family? Any info would be appreciated.
Regards,
John Gage
