Roe v Wade was in the United States, not the United Kingdom and Ireland. Roe v Wade was in 1973.

The 1967 Abortion Act in England made abortion legal. Before that a doctor and woman were liable to life imprisonment for abortion except for the most extreme cases where pregnancy threatened the woman's life.

Northern Ireland wasn't included in the Abortion Act of 1967. The Republic of Ireland does not allow abortion.
