Hi Carol, No problem and thanks responses. After all help received recently have found Father's 'living' relatives in Ireland and met up with: 15 cousins, 36 second-cousins and all their tribes at special 'CEALIE', been given Family-Tree
back to 1780 so far and more cousins to go yet in UK! Shown Dad's old house-plot of 1890's, given a tiny stone to bring back to put in his grave here, shown stone carvings that my Grandfather worked on as Master-Mason some 120 years back including Galway Cathederal, hopped over the county-line to visit the idyllic place Mum was born at, the Family seat(still standing)for 50+ years of 1890's again as an old Inn and going strong now renamed! Crossed the road to the old 'TEMPLARS' church where GG & G/Father & Mother lie along with uncles, cousins et al. Here to bring back another tiny stone to place with 'Them' both in Edinburgh soon. They can't return to their homeland so I've brought it to them! A pilgrimage of a lifetime never dreamed of and resulting from a few hints and steers where there was nothing but a faded memory,a name, as he marched off to war 23 Dec. 1914! So,I return favour whenever/wherever I can Carol! Good luck, Canadian-Veterans Associations might help you perhaps? Stay well and kind regards! Mike
