Hi Carol, Mount Vernon is on the outskirts of Glasgow in Scotland. It is on the East side of Glasgow but technically it is really Lanarkshire.
Broomhouse is where Glasgow Zoo used to be located and there were quite a few old cottages around there but whether Croft Cottage is still there only an Ordnance Survey Map of the area would be able to identify.
