I'm trying to track down my great grandmother's ancestry and I think this Sherlock may be connected.
Her name was Matilda Jane Hall Sherlock born c. 1860 in Belfast, according to her New Zealand marriage certificate.
The certificate says her parents were John Sherlock & Hannah Matilda Waters.
I've been unable to find an Antrim baptism or birth record for her or a marriage cert for her parents.
The fact that she has Hall in her name indicates she may be connected to Joseph Hall Sherlock.
Can you tell me if the headstone has more information on it?
