I would be very interested to hear from anyone researching or who could look up some information on the surname McILVENA in Co. Antrim, especially in the area surrounding Crosshill, such as Parish records etc.
My g,g,g grandfather was Edward McILVENA (born Crosshill Ireland in 1821) who immigrated to Canada in 1853 (father was John McILVENA and #1-?, #2-Jane Fleming) with his wife Eliza Jane Upton (born Enniskillen, Ireland in 1834 - married May 26, 1850 in Crosshill Ireland) and with single sister Elizabeth McILVENA (born Ireland in 1834) & perhaps a brother Sherlock (Shirley) McILVENA travelled with them (little is known about Sherlock except that he didn't like it hear in Canada and returned to Ireland).
Any info is appreciated.
