Classification: Query
I have photocopies of 24 marriages all from Cushendall and registered in the Registrars office in Ballycastle.
Below are a list of some of the names included and the year of marriage;
John Devlin 1908
Thomas O'Loan 1909
Archibald McDonnell 1897
Daniel O'Loan 1897
Hugh McKeegan 1877
James ? Mcfarl 1877 (difficult one to read)
Dan O'Loan 1936
Robert McNaughton 1936
James P McKay 1942
Alexander Stewart 1942
James ?Gore 1940
Charles McAuley 1940
Edmund Black 1933
James Francis O'Loan 1933
John Gamble 1941
Michael McKillop 1941
??? McKeegan 1929
James Skelton 1929
Arthur Francis O'Loan 1962
Leo Augustine Browne 1962 (The 'E' wasn't there at the bottom of the certificate or in the fathers surname)
Joseph D O'Loan 1937
Charles Stewart 1937
John Blaney 1930
Bernard McClusky 1930
The record states the names of both parties fathers and the witnesses at the wedding.
Some have their ages at marriage but most just state "full" I'm taking a punt this means older than 18 (Can anyone tell me if this is correct)
I also have a copy of "Survey of Layde graveyard" if anyone wants anything looked up.
Hope I can be of some help.
