McHugo Family County Galway
I have been searching for the birth place of my great grandfather Thomas McHugo. After consulting the East Galway Family History Center in Woodford and finding no record of him or his brother Lawrence I decided to check out the Western part of Galway. Thomas was born in 1825 in County Galway he left for the US in 1845. He settled in Minnesota after 7 years. His brother Lawrence came to the US with his wife Anne and children Patrick and Mary in 1852 and settled in Minnesota as well. There is some evidence that there were McHugo families in the Connaught. Could my Thomas have come from there?
