I am searching for information on my gg grandfather James Love of Derrygonnelly. He had at least three children, Michael b1854(my g grandfather), and two younger brothers, Patrick and John. James was married to Anne Maguire

There are still Loves in Derrygonnelly. The surname was also Murvanagh, or something like that, from its original Irish form. There was a notorious character called Jemmy Love here in the 1830s who was allegedly as turncoat & informer and features rehularly in newspaper reports of the time. Does that ring a bell?

I have a Patrick Love in my tree. He was born in 1845 nearby in Corkhill and married Sarah Mc Gurren on 1 Oct 1876 in Maugheralough. They emigrated to Chicago in 1881 with their two children Thomas and Mary. They had two other children born in Chicago, Henry and Arthur. Patrick Love died on 10 Oct 1908 in Chicago, Cook Co., Illinois. Any likely link?
