James Canavan of Connemara Ireland
Does anyone have any info on the family of James Canavan born abt 1870 in Connemara Co, Galaway Ireland. His parents were James Canavan abd Barbara King. James went to Scotland.
He married a Sarah Niven who was born about 1890 in Ireland. Her parents were Alexander Niven and Bridget Kennedy.
One note of intrest is that the name Canavan seems to get translated quiet a bit from document to document. I have found Cannavan, Cannovan, Canoavn, Canavin and Canovan.
