Can anyone help me find information on Shroid, in county Longford? In a note from my husbands grandmother, Ellen Kane, she writes that she was born there. I can find nothing about it on the web, except a football team, the Shroid Slashers. She also writes that her father, mother and two siblings were buried at Mothill (Mohill?). Her father was William Kane (Keane) and her mother Helen Greene. She was unsure what year she was born, but we believe it was around 1895/96.
