Scanlan/Scanlon - Drogheda

Classification: Query
Surnames: Scanlan/Scanlon
I'm trying to piece together a puzzle about when my Gt. Grandparent(s) crossed the water to live in Hebburn, Co. Durham. EDWARD SCANLAN married ELIZABETH REILY - don't know when, don't know where! They had four children that I know of, all Baptised in Drogheda - MARY (1928), JUDITH (1930), PATT/Patrick (1835), then a big gap to
CHRISTOPHER (1848). There may have been other children in the meantime.
I would love to find out if Edward died before Elizabeth, with only Patrick & Christopher (as far as I know) moved to England. Elizabeth died in Hebburn, aged 77, in 1882. Her death certificate states Widow of Edward SCANLAN, Brickmaker!.
Any help or guidance on where to look next, gratefully received.
Thanks
