My Growney ancestors also came from Oldcastle, County Meath, Ireland. Patrick Growney (b 1792) & wife Mary Monahan came to the US about 1848 & lived in NY for 12 years before moving to Nodaway County, MO. There were children, Philip, John, Lawrence, Rose & Michael? Most refernces do not mention Michael but I found him on the ships roster. I'm trying to find out what happened to Michael as no one seems to know. Any help on this line would be appreciated.
