Hi Theresa,
My name is Linda(Hayes)Bolad. The possible port that Ellen (Nellie)may have travelled from is Cobh in County Cork. In those times it was also known as Queenstown. Lots of the ships docked in the USA before carrying on to Canada. Does not really make sense!I am originally from County Clare currently living in the USA.Your Michael Hayes was he born 28/September/1838? There are alot of blanks in my research also.
