Any information about the ancestors of Dolores Rubio, widow of and Spanish Brig. Gen. Manuel Alvarez de Coca will be appreciated.
Dolores Rubio vda. de Alvarez arrived in Holguin, Cuba from
Spain in the early part of this century and later lived in Guantanamo. Accompanying her
were her children, Jose, Maria Dolores, Maria Elvira, Maria Josefa, Manuel, Maria Amelia and Maria Rosa. They abandonned property and a military pension in Spain. The children were born in several parts of Spain such as Sevilla, Granada and Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
The family owned a quinta somewhere on the Guadalquivir in
Andalusia.
