I am searching for information about Henry Palmer of Grenada. He was a member of the Grenada, West Indies, House of Assembly in May, 1795 during the Fedon Rebellion. Some believe he might have been a West Indies planter. He is believed to have died in Grenada some time before 1801 and might have had Scots ancestry.
He married Maria Sophia Williams in Grenada about 1791. She is thought to have been born in Grenada between 1774 and 1776 and is believed to have been the daughter or granddaughter of The Honorable Samuel Williams who was twice Acting Governor of Grenada (1787 – 1788 and 1789 – 1792).
Henry and Maria had 3 sons that we know of:
Felix Palmer (b.1792 in Grenada). In 1815/18 he was Aide-de-Camp of Grenada's Governor. In 1831 he was President of the Grenada House of Assembly and Deputy Governor. He is known to have had two sons George and Alfred.
George Palmer (d. Apr 1, 1815)
Dr. Henry Williams Palmer (b.Grenada 1796, baptized Dec 18, 1796, died 1833 in Arbroath). Doctor of Medicine, Edinburgh, Scotland. He married Mary Ferme.
