Hi, I am Rafael Martinez Laracuente, Grandson of Juan Laracuente of Guaraguao, Ponce PR. The Eduviges Laracuente on this 1898 document is my great-grandfather. Do you have any more information you can share? I'm building a family tree, I may have some info on it that may be useful to you also, and I plan to add some more. I'll be traveling to Puerto Rico this December and hope to gather some more info. Thanks

I am going up that way at Christmas and wanted to see him.

What is your name and where do you live?

My parents are Colleen Taylor and Donald Clyde Perry. My grandfather was Lona (pronounced Lonnie)Ellis Perry. He was the son of Mahala Elizabeth Perry and James Irvin Stewart. Lona was illegitimate so had the last name of Perry. Mahala Elizabeth Perry was Alex Perry's sister. I have done huge amounts of research on the Perrys and have a couple of letters from 1878 sent to Alex Perry's father, Oliver Horace "Harris" Theodore Perry.

I am sorry about your father's passing.

your cousin,

Donny Perry in Dallas, Texas

My father born 1888 told me the QUIRINDONGO surname was originally Amerindian for FRESH WATER. My aunt born 1898 said the surname was Dutch originally “KRINGLE DONKER or something like that”. Both insisted Kirindongo was written originally in Dutch with a non-Spanish “K” but I believe now they meant Dutch Papiamento. Both were only functionally literate with at most four (4) yrs? schooling. Also they and their siblings were European White phenotypes. Some were tall, some with light hazel or blue eyes. They said Alejandro 1841-1893 who my father knew personally was called EL HOLANDES because he was so White. All my father's siblings married darker Mestizo and Mulatto before and after going to NYC. They all seemed unaware of their Black ancestors only (2) generations removed. All ancestor mulatttos had died, it seems, before they were born with Eugenio QUIRINDONGO the last Mulatto phenoptype of that era who died circa 1885? My firstborn father was born 1888, as a Spanish citizen ten (10) yrs before the USA invasion takeover. In any case, they never talked about the barrio of Kirindongo, nor Governor Jan Doncker nor of any Black paternal ancestors. I only saw White QUIRINDONGO aunts and uncles growing up in NYC and all spoke of only White Dutch and Spanish ancestors linked to the surname in PR, Holland and Curacao, and I, John Henry QUIRINDONGO, Mestizo Phenotype, personally saw that they got along famously as equals with their darker in-laws in PR and NYC.

In NYC, as I was growing up, some people, especially Argentinuans and Italian-Americans, were vocally surprised at the difference of my HISPANIC Mestizo Phenotype versus my “Italian White” siblings. I now get angry inside if somebody I just met tells me “You don’t look PR.” because I know they are lying to patronize me and put PR down. Some would also taunt their darker fellow Italian paisanos some who were even darker than me calling them SPIKS or PRs.

My mother born 1910 told me when I was very young about five (5) yrs old circa 1938 that her father told her he had some Irish blood from the CORES side of the family. My mother also mentioned Mapy_Pilar Cordero de Cortés a PR actress in Mexico who had PILAR as a middle name same as my mother but my mother said Mapy Cortes was no relation. The defunct Isaias Cortes was her true gfather. She also said that the surname QUIRINDONGO came from the word LOVE Querer but recently I learned she must have meant the false cognates Spanish words for a male LOVER Querindongo and Querendon.

Some Bronx NY Irish classmates in 1938 said I looked like SABU the Indian child-actor and I asked my mother aboit it. She showed me a picture of my gmother who looked Indian from India with a shock of white hair on the front right side of her long black hair.My mother said that my mestizo phenotype came from her side of the family... my mother’s mother was Amerindian phenotype. My mother was White-skinned and White-phenotype because of her White father and that the Quirindongo family siblings and parents of my father were all White. She said there were Black QUIRINDONGO families no relation living in Guayama PR.

About 1946, in a NYC Catholic school, an Irish classmate said,”Jesus the Christ (no surname) was not White, He looked more like Quirindongo, here.” pointing to me.

When I was about twenty-two (22) in 1955, my brothers, my father and I were at a restaurant in the Bronx speaking English and Spanish. The waiter asked what language we were speaking. I said we were speaking Spanish as we were PR. He said, after quickly looking us over pointing at my sixty-six (66) yr old father. “He doesn't look PR, he looks White.” I said, ”He's our father the only one here born in PR.”

My parents were both from the same small town of Penuelas and were distant cousins on the Arroyo side of the family. My Castiza ggmother Valentina on my mother's side was 2nd cousin once removed from my father's Castiza mother my gmother Carmen.

My first discovery of a Black QUIRINDONGO ancestor was when I was sent by PR blogger-rooter Ariel Blondet, the LDS Maria Sabina DIAS 1818 Death Notice wherein she names husband Pedro QUIRINDONG O “negro olandes” executor of her Will.

QUIRINDONGO Cultural Artifacts
1) Kirindongo abou and Kirindongo ariba ezttant barrios in Curacao
2) Kirindongo surname and many similar variations widespread
3) Maria Sabina DIAS de QUIRINDONGO unusual Will
4) Cryptic and mysterious Papiamento Kirindongo song lyrics
”Kirindongo…….……. The fiesta in Spain and PR is celebrated quite somberly during the day on the 24th of July. But after dark before and after that day starting about 1831, it becomes a BLACK CULT curiosity of feasting and drinking alcohol every night from July 23-28 in a predominately Black city Loiza Aldea in PR.

A Sacrilegious and obscene QUIRINDONGO with the rare and unique non-PR-one-name-surname takes over the parade grunting and sreaming each night and uncovers his PENIS a black broom stick to…
1.	various screaming “crazy women believers” pointing at “the penis” representing the laity or non-clergy called “Maximinas” and
2.	many “true” enemies or anti-Christ surrogates called “vejigantes”
3. We’ll never know for sure.
The Genealogy Surname-yDNA Theory Applied .… After migrating within the pre-desert Sahara and south Africa for eons, some migrating groups weather permitting migrated aeay from the Sahara desert into southern Europe and southern Asia seventy (70) thousand yrs ago. Forty (40) thousand yrs ago they underwent phenotype and mtDNA modified mutation changes in isolated groups and inbred for thousands of centuries. This long-term isolated inbreeding led to the White-Caucasian, Black-Negroid and Yellow-Asian Races. YDNA is a dominant identifiable Y gene-chroosome that remsins relatively unchanged for hundreds to thousands of centuries,
Surnames usually follow a famly generation after generation in the recent 600 yrs plus in the West European ancestry pedigree and tracked together with yDNA develop into a valid paper trail.
ysearch.org
a. The FTDNA test pointed to a starting yDNA point Haplogroup I (eye) the dominant male yDNA gene in a direct unbroken male line to me. Each yDNA test only measures one individual in one Haplogroup and thousands, perhaps millions of ancestors in his DNA thread. Important amcient migraton patterns are developed to begin a paper trail. They cannot tell exactly when the mutations leading to homo sapiens began of the total of millions in the Ancestry “thread” nor if any Haplogroup had reverse mutations nor most importantly, among other things, when we began to talk, clothe ourselves and when and where Racial phenotypes were born.

Haplotree anonymous matches as per FTDNA
I (eye) Romania Sephardic (Facshana) 30,000 yrs ago
4 -Step Mutations
I(eye)2a1 Germany - 2
I(eye)2a1 Poland - 1
I(eye)2a1 Spain - 1
I(eye) 2a1 Unknown Origin - 1

Age_of_Discovery in Asia
Non-Documented assumptions: My “I” eye yDNA first appears outside of Europe in Asia as early as 1610 with the Dutch European explorer-traders when and where small amounts of Dutch Haplogroup I (eye) yDNA were continuously modified by Asian mtDNA Phenotypes in Japan, China, Indonesia and Malaysia identifiably the same Haplogroup I (eye) that first appeared 25,000 yrs ago in “Sephardic (Facshana) Romania-Russia” .

In 1609 - The Dutch opened a short-term trading factory in Hirado. This syndrome repeated itself again and again over a wide area. The product of my ancestral migration has given me a Mestizo phenotype and a well-entrenched literate NYC-USA-PR bilingual Atheist identity who believes the one-cell life that led to present day homo sapiens started eons ago in a primeval puddle, pond, lake and/or ocean swimning as sperm does today in vaginal fluid innately looking to multiply and change into a more complex multi-cell lifc.

The Quirindongo PAPER TRAIL shows mulatto phenotypes in PR early in the 1800s and earlier in Curacao. Black African mtDNA began modifying phenotype from 1758 Maria Magdalena (or more likely Andrea Genia) who mated? with Kiring Doncker/Dongo and was given the Kiring Dongo surname.

Free Black African females surnamed Kirindongo are found in abstracts in English buying land in and around the town of Kirindongo while Curacao was under temporary 1800-02 and 1807-16 Brith occupations. Abolition of Slavery in Curacao was 1863, in PR 1873, in Eisngland 1807.

The recent Black mtDNA introduced circa 1758? in Curacao ends with the closest male ancestor to me gg gfather Mulatto Eugenio QUIRINDONGO b.1820 and his mother Andrea de Mat(h)os “Parda” (Brown) in my gene pool three (3) generations removed from me. This microsm of the HOMO SAPIENS development of racial phenotypes in accordamce with Mendel's Genetic LAW of PROBABILITIES.

For an additional $184.00, an additional Autosomal DNA of non-gendered Race analysis can find the racial ancestors % which altered my phenotype and genotype. This test is not recommended by FTDNA for genealogical purposes because it “produces little useful information”. and CODIS The Combined DNA Index System UNIQUE PERSONAL PROFILE tracking are used by the Police. I can see some logic since Blacks in my paper trail are enough in my case. The Asian ancestors to show in my DNA Autosome are a long shot in the short stay in Asia one (1) generation where a half Asian breed shipped out to Curacao. Also todaiy they in Asia would be of little consequence and add little after over four hundred (400) yrs of separation. They would be just a curiosity and at best what they are now a ”lost” recent parallel yDNA cognate who stayed in Asia now completely integrated there. I may much later in the final analysis pay the $184 or maybe less for my non-gendered autosome test to clear up very small doubts about Race and give a more complete Racial ancestry picture regardless of existing phenotype.

In the case of ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER whose surname means BLACK NEGR0 infers Black ancestry in German. The results of an AUTOSOME test would be interesting because he has a White phenotype and is a well-known worldwide celebrity. BABE RUTH, ALEXANDER HAMILTON, FRANK CAPRA, SHELDON LEONARD and DINAH SHORE would also be interesting since I believe they all have RECENT within three (3) hundred fifty yrs African ancestry as per rumors early in their careers.

My progeny in the USA after just three (3) generations show only five (5) of eighteen (18) or one-third (1/3) carry my identical “I” (eye) 2a1 yDNA. The results show a vast pervasive amount of racial mixing miscegenation and a high percentage of Amerindian mtDNA rendering a rainbow panoply of ostensible Amerindian, White, Mulatto, Mestizo Zambo, and/or Black phenotypes. Altho’ the dominamt paternal Dutch QUIRINDONGO yDNA “I” (eye) 2a1 (P37.2+1)M26+1 appears outside of Europe early - perhaps as early as 1610, yDNA and phenotype has been continuously modified by mtDNA away from Europe every generation afterwards, the Dutch yDNA remains constant, an identifiable exotic curiosities. This is normal and expected because mtDMA can change phenotype in one (1) generation.
Hi, another thing with the LDS records, I checked the one from San Juan and believe me, it is in really bad shape..You can hardly make up the names etc. etc. I ordered one and went about 4 times to look up my names and could not find one, and the ones that I found were in bad shape that I could not make up most of the names, dates. etc. etc.

Looking for ancestors of

Secundino Figueroa y Rodriguez (*ca. 1870)who married Antonia Millan y Martinez (*ca. 1880). They had at least 6 children, Juana (Juanita), Rosario, Santo, Victor, Lorenzo y Juan. They lived in La Laguna, Guanica. It seems from the 1930 census that Secundino had either died or did not live with his family at that time.

Any help would be appreciated.

Oh my, I had almost forgotten about this post. I had placed it just a month before my first son was born and almost 9 years later I get this email with your posting. Baudilia or Mamita as I remember we called her was mother's grandmother. My mother is Alicia daughter of Domingo Ojeda, who I guess would have been your granduncle. I will try to write you at your personal email with more information. I am getting ready to travel tomorrow so you'll probably hear from me again next week sometime. I reside in Central America now, my mother lived with me until 5 years ago she is now in Orlando. She had shared with us many memories of Titi Fini and her political days. Much more to share will catch up soon. My personal email is: mayra_singh@hotmail.com

Hi,

My godfather was surnamed Colombani.( Baptism in 1938 )I think he was from Juana Diaz, Puerto Rico. I looked up Colombani in my files and found Nuncio Colombiani, who came to Puerto Rico during the XIX century. He was 31 years old and lived in Mayaguez in 1872. He was single. It is possible that the surname was misspelled. He came from France ( possibly Corsica ).

See : http://home.mindspring.com/~johnqu/Estranjeros%20En%20PRtxt

This is John Quirindongo's page. I hope this helps.

Miriam

As.
