Seeking any information at all about Pikerni, birthplace of my grandfather, Paraskeva Nicholas DELIS (Americanized to Pete DALIS), b. 1886, and uncle Athanasios Nicholas DELIS (Tom DALLAS), b. 1898. Pete came to America in 1900 with cousins George, Andrew, and Nick. George stayed with family in Denver then moved near Pete in San Jose, CA. Also researching great-uncles' lines: BOUDROUKAS (BUDROS) and PANOPOULOS (PANOPULOS), also from Pikerni. DEMOS is a family name but we are unsure of the actual connection. SAHINES is another name from the town. ELIOPOULOS (ELLIS) may also be related. Please respond if any of this 'rings a bell.'
(At some point, Pete and his brother-in-law George PANOPULOS each had a candy store.)

Weird that your cousin Pete Dalis down at USC would find this online, but I did! Did you realize that I had a roommate freshman year named Jackson Demos? I didn't realize that that is a surname or our heritage. Anyhow, hope all is well in Colorado and e-mail me when you have the chance!

I've met a couple of DEMOSes who hail from Pikerni but no one who recognizes the DEMOS names that connect in with my lines (DELIS, BOUDRAKIS, PANOPULOS). I'd love to know the URL for your online DEMOS family tree or some key names or words to put in a search for it.

My name is George Demos and our family originates from Pikerni. My grand father Epaminontas had 8 children three of whom emigrated lived and died in USA. Last one was Charles Demos from R.I.
My grandma's maiden name was Iliopoulos and her brother George lived in Boston. I am also interested in any information regarding our family tree and I would appreciate receiving any info you might have.
