Hello I am hoping to get information on my fathers side of my family. My Grandfather came to this country in 1900. His name was John Drevas. He came with his cousin.
I was told when I was young that the spelling could have been Drivas. I hope someone can help me, I am very limited with webtv.
Thank You
Cathy.

Catherine,

You say that your ancestors came to this country around 1900 but don't say which country! The internet is international. If it helps, there are some Drivas families in Sydney, Australia.

Catherine...My Grandfather was also named Drivas and he
was born in Kremasti, Greece. He came to the U.S. in 1900,
or 1901 and eventually settled in Illinois. I am also
searching for my Greek roots. My Grandfather's name was
Nicolas John Drivas.....Have you tried the Ellis Island
e-mail address? www.ellisislandrecords.org
It takes forever to get into but the other night I found
142 listings for the Drivas name.
If you would like to write me, maybe we can share info.
Good luck to you. Renee

There was a Drivas family in Lowell, Massachusetts. I think the Grandfather's name was John Drivas.
