I am trying to trace where my ancestors came from. I am Moroccan but am adopted so I do not know much about my Moroccan family. I know they are Moroccan Arabs ,not Berbers, and I was told that at some time they came from Yemen,probably around the time of the expansion of islam,. My ancestral name is El omari. I was wondering if you had any info on this name and on Moroccans coming from Yemen?
