I am looking for ancesters of
Hannah Armstrong
Wright who married Richard R
Clute in
Picton in 1840.(below is the info on the marriage bond)
Hannah died of typhoid in 28 Aug 1881 in
Stirling,
Hastings Co. and is buried along with her husband in the
Stirling Municipal Cemetery.
Her most notable son was Roger
Conger Clute, Q.C., Justice of the Supreme
Court of Ontario.

Know all Men by these Presents, that We,
Lenard
Maxwell Loomis of the town of
Picton, Inn keeper
and Nathan
Bangs Conger of the township of
HallowellCordwainer
Are jointly and severally held and firmly bound unto our Sovereign Liege Lady the
Queen, in the
Sum of Two Hundred
Pounds, lawful Currency of the
Province aforesaid, to be paid unto our said Liege Lady the
Queen, or Her Heirs or Successors, for which payment well and truly to be made, We bind ourselves, our and each of our Heirs, Executors, and Administrators, jointly and severally firmly by these Presents, Sealed with our
Seals, at
Picton in the
Prince Edward District and
Province aforesaid, this tenth day of October in the year of our
Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty.
The Condition of this Obligation is such, that whereas a License of Marriage has this day issued from the Office of the Lieutenant-Governor of the said
Province of
Upper Canada, for the purpose of joining together in Holy Matrimony Richard R
Clute of
Hallowell, Cordwainer and
Hannah Wright of the same place Spinster.
Now if it shall appear that there is no affinity, consanguinity, pre-contract, or any other lawful cause or impediment, to hinder thier being joined together, as aforesaid, then this obligation to be null and void, otherwise to remain in full force and virture.
