There are two men named Shuter Bonter in the Hastings and Prince Edward counties records. One is the son of John Sylvanus Banta/Bonter (b. 1884 USA.) However, I am not certain which is which, nor do I know who the parents of the other one would be.

1. Shuter Bonter, b. 1821 Canada, m. Sarah Gordon 1847, lived in Trenton his whole adult life and was a merchant there. Died btw 1891 - 1901.

2. Shuter Bonter, b. 1838 Canada, m. Mary Unknown about 1858, lived in Ameliasburgh, was a hotel keeper, died 1876.

Anyone have any leads? At the moment I am looking for parents for #1 as I am inclined to feel that he is the one who is _not_ the son of John Sylvanus.
