John INSLEY born abt. 1812 shows up in the "Methodist Papers 1830-1857" (1st) married a Phebe OSBORNE Oct. 20, 1838 in Hiller Twp., (2nd) married a Fanny OSBORNE Mar. 08, 1840 in Ameliasburg. They lived in Prince Edward County up until 1849, they then moved to Northumberland County

I believe that Julia Ann's father was not Cornelius but Peter. In 1861 Peter Van Horn was the only Van Horn living in Sophiasburg Township. Additionally, Peter had a daughter named Mintchie and Levi and Julia Ann had a daughter named Mintchie.

Phillip, Levi and Julia Ann's oldest son was my gr-great grand father.

Thank you for your information. The Lennox and Addington Archives in Napanee gave me the name of Cornelius as Julia Ann Vanhorn's father, but I haven't been able to verify that with any records. Do you have the names of Peter's wife or any other info on them? We are descendants of Susan Jane Dorland who married Chester William Brown. I have their original marriage cerfiticate along with Chester's bible.

My great-grandfather Isaac McCracken b. Nov 1846 in Canada, married Delia Maral Allen on 15 Jul 1867 in Wisconsin and they moved to Ozone, Johnson, Arkansas by 1872 when their son Fredrick H. McCracken b 1872.

Isaac and Delia's other children: B. M. McCracken; Albert A. McCracken 1875; Grace McCracken 1877; Mary A. McCracken 1883; Carrie Eleanor McCracken (my grandmother) 10 Sep 1885; and Ruth J. McCracken 1890.

Fredrick married Annie b. 1878 in Indiana and they had 4 children: Frank H. McCracken 1893; Blanche V. McCracken 1895; Charles H. McCracken 1899 and Infant McCracken.

Carrie married Quinton Stokes b 21 Jul 1882 in Mississippi and they had 8 children: Mildred Delia Stokes 1905; Julia Alma Stokes 1908; Eleanor May Stokes 1910; Quinton Donald Stokes 1914; Lois Carolyn Stokes 1916; Winston Isaac (Win or Winn) Stokes 1918; Dorothy Jean Stokes 1921 and Marion Hazel Stokes 1924.

Ruth married Joseph C. Blythe and they had a least one child: Martha B. Blythe born about 1914.

I am working on the insley famly and have just gathered about 30 death registeries this weekend.
Fany Insley died Oct 30, 1895 at the age of 78 years. She was a widow at the time of her passing.

Isaiah Insley married to yrtle Maud Osborne 01 Sep 1906 and
her parents were Jacob Osborne and Phoebe Clark

I think I have some intersting info on Isaiah Tubbs Insley Died December 7, 1878 age of 72 years Occupation at time of death was post master. The registeration sates he was born in Prince Edward County, Ontario
The informant was Sylvanns R. Insley ( this name I have no record of)
From here it gets more interesting
Orrin Tubbs Insley Died died 18 Oct 1929, born abt 1852
Father was William Insely born in Prince Edward County, Ontario and mother was Marry Tubbs, born in N.Y., USA and the family was living in Colborne, Norththumberland county, right next door to Prince Edward County.

The informant was Mrs. Sarah Insley, relation to desceased - wife. He is buried in Lakeport.

I have much more as resulte of over thirty death certificates I have picked up this weekend.
