I wonder if anyone is researching the families of Ketchan GRAHAM of Belleville and Sidney Township, Hastings, and his wife Eliza Ann ROBLIN of Ameliasburg P.E. Co., dau of George ROBLIN?

Hi Barbara:

I don't know if you're aware of this or not, but there is a Roblin Genealogy done about 30 years ago, it includes some of the family you mentioned. I have the information as the Roblin part of the family connects to the Embury family which I am actively researching. The genealogy includes 6 children, spouses for three of them, and some further issue for those 3 children. It gives birth and death dates for most, but doesn't include very many locations. There is also a Roblin list at roblin-l@rootsweb.com, maybe someone could help you there. If you're interested in what I have, e-mail me and I can pass it on.

Thank you for your reply. I have had a look at it and it is very good. I am now wondering where he obtained the information on our family and have emailed him. I am looking for any descendants of James Ketchan Graham and Eliza Ann Roblin who are researching the family.

Thanks again,

Barbara

Hello Willie,

Thanks very much for your reply. Do you mean the Wannamaker Roblin Genealogy? I have a copy of that one. I will look at the Roblin-L list; don't think I have as yet.

Since my husband is a descendant of Ketchan Graham and Eliza Roblin, I would love to find someone researching the Belleville/Sidney Twp. Graham family. I seem to be the only one.

Thanks again,

Barbara

Yes I did mean the Wannamaker Genealogy, never bumped into anyone researching that line though.

I am also a Graham researcher, though I don't think our lines are connected. None the less, I have a *stray* that might be the connection you are looking for:
In the 1851 Cencus for Sidney Township there is a listing for a young man named Ketchum Graham. He is age 21, born Canada West, Westlyn Methodist faith.
His parents are: James Graham, Scottish born, age 59 yrs., lived in a brick and frame house. Residing with him were four young adults (one of whom was Ketchum) The other three girls were: Margaret. age 25,Presbyterian: Isabel, age 24, Westleyn Methodist, Maria, age 23, Westleyn Methodist. All of the children were single and born Canada West. Don't know why the one daughter is listed as Presbyterian though, maybe she is another relative, such as a niece? Hopefully these few crumbs will be of some use to you!
