my mom showed it to me back in the early '60's, but according to Mexico there was none.

Hello,

What I did was even go so far as to get in touch with a family here in town, a Mexican family in which the father needed proof for his birth in order to obtain his Social Security benefits, and Mexico said they did not have any.
One of the last e-mails I sent to Mexico said that if I would "bring an attorney with me they would see what they could do, for a fee." With that I said what is the use? I need my information for DAR purposes, but all I can say is guess we keep trying. I wish I could be more of a help, but that is the type of answers I have been obaining in my brick walls.

Hello listers... I'm trying to find the marriage of my grandparents. My mom grew up always being told that grandma and grandpa ran off to Tijuana, Mexico and got hitched. I do not have a firm date, just a year: 1933. Their names were: Clinton Elmar Young, born 28 Feb 1909, San Francisco; Mabel Ethel Harrison, born 12 Oct 1903 (not sure where). Is there anyone who would volunteer to do a lookup? He was a Catholic, I have no clue what her religious denomination was, but I suspect they probably were married in a Catholic church.

Try palacio de gobierno in Tijuana and go to the registro civil. This was given to me in a reply. If you get a telephone number or address please let me know and if it was any help. Have not be able to get a number or go to Tijuana.

You can get my e-mail address by clicking on my user name at the upper left of my message here. I would like to see if he has any resemblance to the Bejaranos that I know.

The fact that he wanted to open up a tortilla factory is interesting because the sister of the Joaquin that I am seeking worked in restaurants and bakeries and was known for making those huge Sonoran tortillas -- I think they are called "gordas".

Hi....
I called my mother and she didn't remember his last name. Her answer was....... HE was my aunts boyfriend and I didn't think to ask personal question. What she did know was that at one time he was a bersaro (migrant worker) which he didn't like and plan to start a tortilla factory with my great aunt. He gave up hope waiting for her and said he was going to go back to the town he was from. He was a policeman.

Garcia is also a main name in my family tree. My grandmothers grand father was Pedro Garcia. His name is so common it is really hard to find who is who.

I'm in Eugene Oregon.

Hi....My mother just left for San Diego Cal. As she was packing her Items we came across some old pictures (1950's). There was a man in an officers uniform. His name is Joaquin. He lived near the race track ( Aqua Caliente ). He was a male friend of my great aunt Maria Flores Soniga. She had promised to move from San Diego to Tijuana to be with him. I do not know his last name. When my mom calls I'll ask her. As the story goes. Joaquin gave up waithing for my aunt and went his own way. As a child I remember him. He was very nice.

Maybe the best way is to hire a PI to collect info.
