I'm looking for info on Lauro Downey he married Clementina Gonzalez before 1940 and had one son Lauro Manuel Downey born 3.27.1940 in Bajo Calif.
Clementina father is Balbino Gonzalez and mother Gertrudiz Castro.
not sure how the Downey name came to the mexico area
one story is a group of gypsi's came to the area and one hooked up with a local.

Have you by any chance come across a Juana or Maria Juana Gonzalez from Mulege Baja California? born about 1879. Her parents where Antonio Ramon Gonzales and Ma. Ceciela Flores.

Do you know how I can get her birth record?

which is north of Mulege

I have been searching the web for some time now and haven't had too much progress because most of the history databases are only for the United States. I have read parts of a book by Pablo Martinez that put us in the right direction, but was very excited you mentioned Cesena from Baja California. Its our understanding that Cesena have a strong background from Baja. I am very excited to have a lead on my family and hope to hear from you soon.

Greg, why are you not responding to any of my inquiries? I need info on where I can get info (birth records) from Mulege. I am searching for Ma. Juana Gonzalez born to Antonio Gonzalez and I believe Cecelia Flores (?) abt 1879. She was born in Mulege. I am interested in information on all three but especially Ma. Juana, she is my Grandmother.
