Hello I am researching my ancestors who were among the early families of Baja California. I have been able to go back to the late 1700's but still have unanswered questions. I am researching the following families from Santiago the Lucero-Cosio family who are descended from Jose Rosa Lucero y Gastelum and Maria de la Asuncion Cosio y Castillo.

Also from Santiago and La Ribera the families Gonzales-Lucero, Beltran, Castro, the families also appear to have connections with the surnames Fiol, MacDonough, and Collins. From Miraflores and San Jose del Cabo the descendents of Domingo Peralta and Serafina de Aviles married in 1861 in
Miraflores. Also the families Cosio, Mora, Marquez, Chavez, Gastelum.

Hello Ceasar,

Thank you for your message. Most of my information is on the Lucero's so I am really looking for details on my Castro and Beltran ancestors. I know the family was originally from Santiago Don Ramon Castro married Doña Jesus Beltran. Some of the early children were born in Santiago the later ones in La Ribera. Here are their children there could be more. Twins Sara and Angela (my great grandmother) and sisters Francisca, Librata, Caterina, Beatriz, Amelia, brothers Jesus, Astulfo. Doña Jesus Beltran was widowed and moved to San Diego in about 1910.
I know very little on this side. I can only go back to about the middle of the 1800's also on this line. Does anything soud familiar? Here is my email address calitrade@hotmail.com
