I have found further in formation on Ronquillo. i simply looked the surname up in a diccionario espanol. I found more than a few militares espanoles, which seems to be a characteristic of the family in Spain. Diego Ronquillo, born in Arevalo in 1535, died Manilla 1598. Gonzalo Ronquillo, b. in Arevalo (Avila) in mid XV century, was instrumental in suppression of Comunidades de Castilla, noted for severity. Juan Ronquillo, cleric and writer, born Sevilla died there 1682. Luis Ronquillo Cuevas, born Arevalo, 1558, died Islas Filipinas 1617, he was an Augustinian missionary. Gonzalo Ronquillo de Penalosa. My last name is Aguilar. I know my family comes from a small farming community named Rancho Aguiilar(es) which is not to far from Babonoyaba. Currently I still have family in Rancho San Augustin which is even closer to Babonoyaba. Also I have family currently in Babonoyaba, but those are through my grandmother's surname of Rivero, (they have since married and now carry a different name).
