I am looking for family or people who knew my anscestors in Rosales Mexico. My grandfather is Fidencio Vela Chalambaga who was born in Rosales(Villa Union)in 1904. His parents are Elisandro Chalambaga & Elvira Vela. Elisandro & Elvira had 5 children born in Rosales. The 5 children were Fidencio, Elisandro, Aurelio, Consuelo, & Sostines. Fidencio's grandparents are Sostines Chalambaga & Cosepcion G who were possibly from there also. Consuelo Chalambaga & Sostines Chalambaga were told by thier grandparents that thier last name was German (Schulemberger)and the spelling had been changed over the years. My grandmother and mother were born in Rosales I could ask them if they knew your family, also I will be going sometime before this year is over, oh by the way nobody knows it as Rosales anymore except for the old people. Just call it Villa Union.

In my Ggrandfathers baptism record it shows him to have been born at the rancho gaudalupe.. I was wondering if you knew if this was a real ranch, town or even if it still exists?

In the body of the text: In this the vice parish of St. Francis of
Assisi, of the Diocese of Durango, Mexico, on the first of September in
the year of our Lord one thousand, eight hundred and eighty-nine. I the
undersigned Presbyter, Manuel Flores Farias, solemnly baptized and
placed the Holy Oil and Sacred Chrisma on a male child whose name was
Jesus, born on the sixth of last month, at about six in the morning at
Rancho Guadalupe, the legitimate son of Felix Pena and Francisca
Ramirez. The Paternal grand parents are Hiolito Pena and Vicenta Contreras.
The Maternal grand parents are Isidoro Ramirez and Encarnacion Valero. The
God-Parents are Roman and Cenovia Sanchez, to whom I advised of their
parental and Spiritual obligations. That it so be I sign along with

It is the Hacienda Guadalupe and it is a municipality of Guerrero, Coahuila. Although, mostly every one moved to Villa Union. My father and his family come from Guadalupe, my grandfather's name is Luis Ramirez I will ask my father if he knows anything of the names you've mentioned.

Hi did you ever find out anything else new on the Chalambaga's? I am the Grandaughter of Sostenes Chalambaga, he passed away in 2005. His sister Consuelo passed away in Pasadena,tx i think 2000 or soo..
